📬 Tracking & Follow-up Guide

Optional — about 15 minutes, one time. Your prospects land in your own Google Sheet and get automatic emails signed by you.

What this link does for you

When someone signs up in your funnel, their name and email have to go somewhere. This link is the bridge between your funnel and your own Google Sheet. Once it is in place:

Everything is sent from your Gmail address, in your name. The sheet and the emails belong to you alone.

Create your Google Sheet

Go to sheets.new (you need a Google / Gmail account). Name the sheet, for example My Funnel Prospects.

Open Apps Script and paste the code

  1. In your sheet, click Extensions → Apps Script. A code editor opens in a new tab.
  2. Select everything that is already there (Ctrl+A) and delete it.
  3. Copy the script with the button below and paste it in (Ctrl+V).
  4. Click the 💾 icon (or Ctrl+S) to save.

Put in YOUR information ⚠️

This is the step people forget. At the very top of the script, in the CONFIGURATION section, replace the five example values with your own:

Keep the quotation marks 'like this' around each value, and don't change anything else in the script. Then save again (Ctrl+S).

Create the tabs

  1. In the bar above the code, open the function list and choose initSheets.
  2. Click ▶ Run.
  3. The first time, Google asks for permission: click Review permissions, choose your account, then Advanced → Go to (project name) → Allow. This is normal: it is your own script asking to use your own sheet and Gmail.

Back in your sheet you now have two tabs: Prospects and Follow-ups.

Deploy and copy your link

  1. In Apps Script, click the blue Deploy button (top right) → New deployment.
  2. Next to "Select type", click the ⚙️ icon and choose Web app.
  3. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone.
  4. Click Deploy.
  5. Copy the Web app URL. It looks like https://script.google.com/macros/s/ABC…/exec

➡️ Paste that link in the funnel setup page, in the optional link field of section 1, then click Save my profile and generate your funnel link again.

Test, then switch on the daily reminders

  1. Open your own funnel link and sign up with your TEST_EMAIL address. Check that a row appears in the Prospects tab and that the welcome email arrives.
  2. In Apps Script, choose testFollowUps and click ▶ Run. It only looks at your test address.
  3. When you are happy, choose createDailyTrigger and click ▶ Run once. From then on, reminders go out by themselves every morning at 9 AM.
